About the Site
This is like a FAQ page- except, I've never actually gotten questions. Just putting these here for any clarifications that might pop up. If you have a question or inquiry please use [THE MAILBOX]!
Why make this site?
AUDHD might have a part in this. But aside from that:
- I know I love Garry's Mod but I sometimes get too tired to functionally edit lights and poses and camera angles all the time. This is a good lower stress hobby!
- Website building is lowkey fun! I've never used HTML/CSS on such a big scale like this before, and I've only had a hand poking about in SpaceHey and Toyhou.se, and many websites on Straw.page (Straw.page isn't coding based though). Through all those combined, I sorta wanted to pick up the Ancient art of site making again. I also got inspiration from remembering an online friend's own neocities site!
- The previous point is a better excuse to make custom character profile pages for my kins and headcanons! Straw.page is absolutely frustrating for that due to the way designing on there works (sorry Osman), and Toyhou.se is just. Toyhou.se.
- Sudden energy burst(s)..
Why are some images missing/placeholders?
Placeholders are, well, placeholders, when I'm not done with those parts. But when images are missing, that's the fault of catbox.moe. I use that to host literally.. 90% of my graphics/images. It sucks when it goes down, but we can only thug it out.
What's the Character Pages?
As stated before, they are my custom profiles for my character kins/headcanons! These are mostly for characters from Media but I am planning on giving some of my Personas their own Character Pages!
There are fandoms listed in the directory for Character Pages, but for characters with groups too small they will go into the Miscellaneous group.
- Characters with (Persona), or, (...sona) in their link name means that they are literally, my personas, extensions of me.
- Characters with (Kin) in their link name means that the information in their page is regarding MY KINSONA/KIN PERSONA for them. They are projections, personas with a link to a pre-existing character with a more stable source material.
- Characters with (HC) in their link name means that the information in their page is regarding MY HEADCANONS for them. This is how I view the character, their relations, and whatnot.
NOTE: Please don't come after me if you're butthurt about anything- headcanons and kinsonas are self-interpretations of the characters, and that's either based off your personal experiences in relation to the character(s), and/or theories about them! It's subjective, so please just don't interact with me if you disagree about anything.
Okay, that's the Character Pages. But what's with some of these genders you've given?
I purposefully leave quite a few vague, my personas mostly. My own gender is something that I myself am still.. somewhat.. chasing, so giving most of my personas set genders isn't something that makes me comfortable. You're free to guess and headcanon a gender (or, more genders if you hoard like me), but I will still keep the ambiguous ones ambiguous. HOWEVER, I can give them sexualities sometimes, which, can hopefully put you on the right path.
Note: Most of them are lesbians.
What's the Talky Pages?
I talk there. It's sorta self-explanatory, but for the actual actual explanation:
- Talky Pages are Pages that I update at will with relevant '(text) posts', like. Tumblr. It's a small little place to put things. The Garry's Mod Talky Page might have screenshots of what I've been doing/cooking in the game, or I'll talk about either the Addons I love or the Addons I hate. That's basically the gist.
Your site looks janky. Do a remake!
You're sort of right. I've never done HTML coding so big, especially with multiple pages (~15, give or take..). There will definitely be a total remake/revamp in the future- and I foresee it to be done during November-December, which is during my year-end break. BUT, I feel like I want to keep my Aperture-Yuri gimmick. I just need a more viable way to make my site functional, and not to drive the Editor (Me), absolutely crazy.
